May 26, 2010 - @SterlingMinerals I had a dog who would go into complete and utter panic attack mode when the smoke detectors battery chirps would go off. He would climb over you/on you/whatever because of the chirps! He lives with my daughter now--he went with her when she moved away for college. =( They do have a habit of going off/battery dying in the middle of the night for some reason though. lol

May 31, 2010 - I do the same thing, keep saying "Um",, every other word is Um, trying to break that , but so hard to do, that "Um" is a filler, and once you notice how much you use that word it is hard to get rid of. Way back then my speech class teacher brought that point out. I had no idea how many folks use the word "Um" Me included!

May 31, 2010 - LOL! You guys need new batteries in you smoke alarms. Don't you just hate that chirping? I used to live in an apartment where my neighbors always set off the alarm by cooking so the whole building's alarms went off. I often came home to that chirping because after it went off, I had to reset it. I could tell it was bugging you. That just made me smile :-)
